What to expect, step by step
Settle in
Megan steps out while you undress from the waist down and get comfortable. Wipes are provided.
Cleanse and prep
The skin is cleansed and a light pre-wax oil protects it.
Hard wax, small sections
Warm hard wax is applied in small sections and removed without strips. It grips hair, not skin.
Tidy up
Any stray hairs are tweezed so the finish is clean.
Soothe
A calming post-wax serum cools the skin and helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Results
Skin stays smooth for three to four weeks. Hair grows back finer and sparser with regular waxing, and each visit gets easier.
Before you come
Let hair grow to about a quarter inch, roughly two to three weeks. Exfoliate gently the day before. Skip lotion that day.
Afterward
For 24 hours, skip the gym, hot tubs, the beach and tight clothing. Start gentle exfoliation after three days.

Brazilian Wax FAQ
How much is a Brazilian wax in San Luis Obispo?
At Sol Skin SLO a Brazilian wax is $65. A bikini wax is $40.
Does a Brazilian wax hurt?
The first one is the most uncomfortable, and it is over quickly. Hard wax and a fast, steady technique make a real difference, and it gets easier each visit.
Can I get waxed on my period?
Yes. Skin can be a little more sensitive, so wear a tampon or cup. Reschedule if you would be more comfortable.
How long does my hair need to be?
About a quarter inch, the length of a grain of rice. That is roughly two to three weeks after shaving.
